What you'll learn

The complete process, start to finish

Four parts of the process I run on every position, from spotting the trend to deciding when to sell.

01

How I identify major trends before they become obvious

How I read demand, market spending, industry bottlenecks, and where capital is moving, before I ever look at an individual company.

02

How I research and evaluate a company

The process I use to understand the business, evaluate the opportunity, review the risks, analyse the valuation, and decide whether the company is worth owning.

03

How I plan my entries instead of chasing

How I build buy zones, scale into a position gradually, use technical levels, and separate a strong company from a good entry price.

04

How I decide when to hold, trim, or sell

The rules I use to manage a position after buying, and how I tell whether a decline is an opportunity, a reason to reduce exposure, or evidence the thesis has broken.

Who this is for

This masterclass is for you if:

You don't need to be a beginner. Most people in this community already own stocks. What they're missing is a structured way to make the decisions.

The process, applied

Two positions, and the reasoning behind them

The point isn't that these went up. It's the reasoning that led to owning them, the same reasoning I'll walk through on August 30.

MU

The memory bottleneck

The trend was AI infrastructure. Instead of buying the companies building the AI models, I looked for the bottleneck underneath them: the memory and storage the buildout physically depends on. Demand was rising faster than supply could be added, which meant pricing power sat with whoever controlled that supply. From there I worked through the financials and valuation, decided what would prove the thesis wrong, and used technical levels to scale in rather than buy all at once. I posted the thesis on Instagram before it played out.

SNDK

The same thesis, one layer across

Same structural trend, applied to data storage rather than memory. The question I was answering was the same one I ask every time: is this company genuinely positioned to capture the economic value the trend creates, or is it just associated with a popular industry? I sized the position in advance, decided where I'd add and where I'd trim, and named the developments that would tell me the thesis had broken. Both positions were documented publicly as they developed, not after the fact.

Mentioned as worked examples only. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.

Live Q&A

Then I answer your questions, live

The last part of the session is unscripted. Bring a company you're researching, a position you're unsure about, or a question about the process itself. I'll work through it on the call in real time. No question is too basic, and I'd rather answer the awkward ones.

The backstory

I'm Billy

I went from borrowing my dad's brokerage account at 17 to running a $500K+ portfolio and teaching the process behind it.

I started investing at 17, in the middle of lockdown, through my dad's brokerage account. I taught myself the rest: financial statements, valuation, risk management. Since 2021 I've grown that into a portfolio worth more than $500,000.

Being wrong isn't what costs you. Refusing to admit it is.

Then I lost more than $100,000.

One short position, with no real thesis and no exit plan. The stock kept climbing and I kept finding reasons to hold, because I didn't want to admit I was wrong. That was poor risk management and an emotional decision, and it cost me six figures.

It forced me to build a structured process: one that decides, before I enter, what would prove me wrong, how large the position should be, and what I'll do if it moves against me.

I run that same process on every investment I make today. On August 30, I'll walk you through all of it.
